1BL is developing an array of Spiritual Care Ministries to meet the needs of our church family and our communities.

Pastor Rex Johnson is available for short-term counseling.
For ladies, Becky Friese will be coming on board soon as well.

We know it hurts and we want to help.

GriefShare will begin a new session on September 9, 2010.
We meet each Thursday at 7:00pm.

For married couples whose marriages are in trouble.
ReUnite is a weekly ministry to a small group of
couples committed to work together for up to three
years. If the survival of your marriage is on the line,
please call us for an appointment (562) 420-1471 x142.


For those who experience hospitalization,
death of a loved one, trauma or crisis. We offer
help for those in our community, as well as for our
church family.

What would it be like to desire, but not be able to
come to church? Our shut-ins know all too well.
They are an important part of our church family
and we want them to know how much we love and
appreciate them.

A volunteer commits to a monthly visit.
Also, sending cards and making phone calls are a
welcomed bright spot in their day.
