Jamaica Trip Update- 6/27
We did some church today! We went to a church service that “started” at 10am, but to give you a picture of Jamaican culture, the Pastor didn’t even show up until after 10:30. The service actually started around 10:45. We ran the entire service and I preached the sermon. It was a more casual service than most of the ones we have been to in Jamaica, with the women not all wearing head coverings, and the men not all wearing ties. We returned to our hotel for a late lunch at about 2pm. We had a little free time to cool off in the pool, before going to a night service. The night service was up in the hills in St. Ann, where we were a part of a church service that was actually more formal than the service in the morning. Several people prayed to receive Christ tonight! Our students are doing great and impressing me more each day. They were boldly proclaiming their faith today, and leading people to Christ.
