Opportunities to Serve

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship... Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are all parts of His one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others.

Rom 12:1, 4-5

No ministry could thrive without the efforts of volunteers. Highlighted below are some of the available opportunities to serve at Lakewood.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

As we prepare for an exciting fall, won't you please pray about joining our Children's Ministry Team on a rotating basis? There are many different opportunities to get involved on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday evenings… greeters, drama, music, technical, teaching, caring for babies, organizing, discipling a small group, set up/tear down, leading activities and so much more!

- Were you were impacted by an adult when you were a student?
- Do you wish that you had someone providing a Godly example as a teen?

Student ministries is one of the places we see the most changed lives in our church. Maybe God is calling you to have an impact on a young person in our community. We have many different roles with various levels of commitment. (Sunday Mornings, Wednesday Night, or periodic events.)

Whether it is with Middle School or High School Ministries, we are also looking for all different kinds of people at various stages of life!

- If you are interested in Middle School Ministry, click here.

- If you are interested in High School Ministry, call or email Amy at the church office (562-420-1471 ext. 150 or
aatkinson@fbcol.org).

Thanks for considering the impact you can have in the life of a young person!

S.O.S.

Serving Our Shut-ins is a vital ministry here at Lakewood. Our shut-ins are an important part of our church family. We want them to know how much we love and appreciate them.  You, with the Lord’s help, can be that special someone to make them feel they are not forgotten and they are special and valued by their church family.
